Booking rules by state
Idaho state park camping reservations
How far ahead you can book, what time dates open, and the rules that trip people up.
The rules
- Reservations open up to 9 months ahead on a rolling window. Source, checked November 2, 2026
- IDPR doesn't publish the time of day new dates open. Check the booking site early that morning. Source, checked November 2, 2026
- Book a multi-night stay right on the 9-month mark (so it ends past the window) and it's frozen for 18 days: no changes or cancellations. Source, checked November 2, 2026
- Idaho's system has no cancellation alert. IDPR's advice is to keep checking. Source, checked November 2, 2026
Book on Idaho State Parks reservations (getoutside.idaho.gov), the official system run for Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation (IDPR).

Campground guides: Farragut State Park. More Idaho campgrounds follow the same rule; the tool on the home page covers them as we add them.
Get the reminder by email
One email before the big Pacific Northwest dates (the Enchantments lottery in February, the first Multnomah Falls permit releases in May) and when an agency changes its booking rules. Nothing else.
Before any reminder, you'll get one email asking you to confirm. It comes from New England Reservations (hello@newenglandreservations.com), our sister site. Unsubscribe anytime. See the privacy policy.
